Oaklands Commonwealth Games

On Wednesday afternoon Room 1 took part in the Kakano Commonwealth Games

Room 1 took part in the 3 legged race.

We had a go at tug-of-war. Thank you to Taylor Fosters Mum and Mr McAven for helping out the teams.

Our last event was the obstacle course.

Room 1 Maths Day

Today we had lots of fun doing different Maths challenges to learn about measurement and length.

Taylor and Yarek get to grips with using a ruler to measure how many centimetre are a hand span is.

Flynn, Kade and Jasper work out which rods they need to make 13cm.

Taylor and Jaxon building the tallest tower.

Marshall, Meg and Amber working together to make 1 sheet of A4 paper measure 1m in length.

Ella and Taya draw around their feet before measuring their length in centimetres.
